With the XLMiner Analysis ToolPak App, you can perform statistical analyses of the same types available in the Analysis ToolPak in desktop Microsoft Excel. The App provides all 19 interactive functions included in the Excel Analysis ToolPak, plus a 20th function often requested by users, logistic regression. Unlike Excel for Windows and Excel 2016 for Mac, the Data Analysis ToolPak is not included in Excel 2011. The workaround is to add the free StatsPlus Lite Edition to Excel 2011. Follow the steps below: Download StatsPlusLE for Mac and save the zip file on the desktop. Double-click on the zip file to unzip the contents to a folder on the desktop.

The Analysis Toolpak offers data analysis tools for statistical and engineering analysis. It provides advanced tools such as Anova, Correlation, Covariance, Fourier Analysis, Histogram, Regression, t-test and z-test.

Enabling the Data Analysis Toolpak in Excel for Mac Microsoft decided to stop making a Data Analysis Toolpak available for Microsoft Office for Mac starting with Office 2008 (released in 2007). Microsoft has reported in its support documentation that Office 2016 for Mac (unreleased at the time of this writing, July 20th, 2015) will once again. You should now be able to access the Data Analysis command under the Data tab. For Mac Users: In the top menu bar, navigate to Tools Add-ins. You should have a pop-up window on your screen; make sure Analysis ToolPak is checked. If Analysis ToolPak does not appear as one of the Available add-ins, then click Browse to locate it.

We have successfully loaded the Analysis Toolpak. Click the Data tab > Data Analysis command to see that the Data Analysis tools are now activated.
